MEET YASEMIN HAKIMI

I’ve always had a deep passion for organizing and planning.  I believe that every special event deserves to be stunning and planned to perfection!  When my husband and I got married in 2004, we decided to have the wedding in Washington DC even though I am from New Jersey.  Long story short, many aspects of my wedding was a disaster!  So many details were missed and caused me so much stress.  That's when I decided to work in the catering industry and embark my career in the event planning world.

My career began with Marriott Hotels in 2005 and after a few years I transitioned to Starwood Hotels & Resorts.  In 2008 I started a new adventure in joining the opening team for the new Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center being launched at National Harbor (Wash DC), overseeing the Catering Division responsible for weddings and major events.  This is also where I gained extensive knowledge on different ethnicities and religious weddings. This was so much fun for me, especially the South Asian weddings!  In 2012, my family and I, which then included two kids decided to move back to NJ.  This is when I changed direction and worked on the corporate sales side of Starwood Hotels in NYC with a focus on clients in the fashion industry.

In 2014, we wanted to continue and grow our family so I took a few years off to spend time with my kids.  By 2017, we had 4 kids and a cat!  However, during this "time off" I continued to help friends and family with countless events.

This is why I decided to put my passion on what I love most - event planning, designing and coordinating, hence, Reveled Events & Design LLC is born. I have since gained many valuable connections with industry-leading experts and vendors. I’ll work day and night to guarantee that your next event will be filled with unforgettable moments.
